Terms of Service for Chorumi

Welcome to Chorumi ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chorumi website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Chorumi is an AI-assisted creative studio for music producers and DJs. Depending on your plan and account status, the Service may include:

  • Producer tags, DJ drops, and related text-to-speech audio with effects ("Tags").
  • AI music tags and sound-design outputs from text prompts.
  • Full-length AI song generation.
  • Stem separation (splitting uploaded tracks into stems such as vocals, drums, or instruments).
  • Personal voice cloning from samples you upload, subject to plan limits and our acceptable-use rules.
  • Browser-based audio utilities (for example, BPM or pitch tools) that process files locally or through our servers as described on each tool page.

Outputs created through the Service are referred to as "Generated Content." We use third-party AI, speech, hosting, and payment providers to deliver the Service; features and providers may change over time.

2. Accounts, Guests, and Eligibility

  • Guest use: Some features are available without registering. Guest access is subject to daily or session limits, download quality caps, and abuse-prevention measures (including cookies and device signals described in our Privacy Policy).
  • Registered accounts: You may create an account with email and password or sign in through supported identity providers (such as Google or Discord). You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Age: You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have consent from a parent or guardian if required by law.
  • Suspension: We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, abused quotas, or harmed the Service or other users.

3. Credits, Subscriptions, and Payments

  • Credit system: Many features consume credits from your balance. Credit costs and free allowances are shown in the product and on our pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Subscriptions: Paid subscriptions grant recurring monthly credits and plan benefits. Subscription credits typically reset each billing cycle and do not roll over unless we state otherwise on the pricing page.
  • One-time packs: Credit packs are one-time purchases. Unless stated on the pricing page, purchased pack credits do not expire while your account remains in good standing.
  • Free bonuses: Promotional or signup credits may expire after a stated period (for example, 30 days) and are subject to eligibility rules.
  • Payments: Fees are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe, PayPal, Creem, or Dodo). By purchasing, you also agree to the applicable provider's terms. Charges are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated on our pricing or checkout pages.
  • Taxes and chargebacks: Prices may exclude taxes where applicable. Fraudulent chargebacks or payment abuse may result in account closure and loss of credits.

4. Intellectual Property and Licenses

  • Our property: We retain all rights in the Service, including software, design, branding, documentation, and underlying systems. These Terms do not grant you any ownership in Chorumi or our models.
  • Your inputs: You retain ownership of text prompts, scripts, and audio you upload, provided you have the rights to use them.
  • Generated Content — ownership: As between you and Chorumi, you own the Generated Content we deliver to your account for a completed, successful generation, subject to these Terms and any rights of third parties in underlying source material.
  • Commercial use: A full commercial license applies to Tags, songs, and other Generated Content you export while on a paid subscription or using credits from a purchased credit pack, as described on our pricing page. You may use that content in tracks you sell, release, or distribute without paying royalties to Chorumi and without mandatory attribution, unless we require attribution for a specific promotional program.
  • Free and guest use: Output from free tiers, guest sessions, or unpaid promotional credits is intended for personal evaluation and practice. Do not use those exports for commercial release, client work, or distribution that requires a paid license unless you later obtain qualifying paid credits or a subscription before export, or we expressly allow it in writing.
  • Stem outputs: Stems are derived from audio you upload. You are responsible for having the rights to the source recording. We do not grant you rights in any third-party copyrighted material contained in your uploads.

5. Voice Cloning and Acceptable Use

Voice cloning is for your own branding, not impersonation. You agree not to use the Service to:

  1. Clone or mimic any real person, artist, celebrity, or public figure without their explicit, documented permission.
  2. Upload samples you do not own or lack rights to use for voice modeling.
  3. Generate unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or fraudulent content.
  4. Mislead listeners about identity, endorsement, or origin of audio.

You are solely responsible for voice samples you provide and for how you use cloned voices. We may remove content and restrict accounts that violate this section. We disclaim liability for your misuse of cloning features.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent quotas, credit charges, or access controls (including by multiple accounts, automation, or shared fingerprints).
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-call the Service except through documented APIs we make available to your plan.
  • Upload malware, infringe intellectual property, or violate privacy or publicity rights.
  • Interfere with Service security, stability, or other users' experience.

7. AI Limitations and Disclaimer of Warranties

AI and audio processing can produce unexpected artifacts, inaccurate transcriptions, or results that are not suitable for every use case. The Service and all Generated Content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific audio quality, chart performance, or platform compliance for your releases.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chorumi and its affiliates, officers, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenues (including lost sales or takedowns on streaming platforms), arising from your use of the Service or Generated Content.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) USD $50 or (b) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chorumi from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content or uploads, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the product or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
